With the new additions, SampleTank 3 is the only virtual instrument that gives you a world of sound plus IK Multimedia's legendary outboard processors, instrument-specific studio effects and hard-to-find analog vintage effects. On top of that, the internal multi-effects selection now contains 57 high-quality effects with 24 brand-new effects derived from the best analog-modeled algorithms and convolution technology found in AmpliTube and TRackS plus brand new effects developed just for SampleTank 3. This powerful effects routing system allows for up to 30 effects to be applied to a single SampleTank sound for a truly mind blowing assortment of creative sound design possibilities. Using these effects can quickly be inserted, bypassed, previewed and edited without leaving the main mixer menu. John's PDF manual has nice screenshots of these steps.A large part of SampleTank's long-standing popularity has been its suite of built-in effects, a feature that owes a lot to IK Multimedia’s reputation for top-quality audio effects. You paste that serial # into the Authorization Manager screen, and you're done. You get that from the IK Multimedia web site, logging into to your free account on IK Multimedia site, go to "My Products" section, and find SampleTank, and press AUTHORIZATIONS button. You will then need to retrieve your serial number. SampleTank (IK Multimedia) Authorization Manger will set you up with a free account (If you already have a IK Multimedia free account, you just enter your username/password and bypass the create account stage). Running the Authorization Manager (which the PG Music installer runs) will create your serial # on the IK Multimedia site, but you need to go their site, and logon to retrieve it. It is straightforward, the trick is that the serial number is in your free account on the IK Multimedia webiste. The install is the same routine as for Amplitube (which came with 2012)
